Innopolis is a place where advanced technologies are created and implemented. Here live and work 7,000 people, 300 IT-companies are developing and 2 technoparks are operating. The heart of the IT capital of the Republic of Tatarstan is the University, where more than 1,000 future scientists and programmers study. Innopolis is at the cusp of the country's and the world's progress. Therefore, it is no coincidence that fire safety of many buildings here is provided by the wireless system Streletz-PRO manufactured by Argus-Spectrum.
In 2022, Streletz-PRO was chosen to equip the buildings of the university campus. These are 4 multi-storey residential buildings designed for more than 1000 students. The total area of protected premises is over 35 thousand square meters.
3 new buildings were planned to be equipped with Streletz-PRO systems prior to construction. And in the one that was already in operation, Streletz-PRO replaced the Honeywell brand fire alarm system. The old system had reached the end of its lifespan and needed to be replaced. A system was needed that met the highest quality standards and could be equipped in the shortest possible time and without taking the facility out of service.
In 2023, it took just 3 weeks to retrofit the system in block number 2, a 5-story building with an area of around 9,000 square meters. It took 2 weeks to develop the design and only 1 week to install all the equipment. The equipment installation and commissioning works were carried out without shutting down the building. The previous system continued to operate during the entire installation and was deactivated after it was completed. The installation crew consisted of only 4 technicians. 

When it comes to retrofitting the fire alarm system, the owners face the question of what solution to choose in order to, firstly, not to put the object out of service during installation, and, secondly, to change the system as quickly as possible.
