Streletz-Monitoring overview
Streletz-Monitoring. Emergency monitoring and notification

About 58% of buildings in Russia are connected to the wireless communication system “Streletz-Monitoring.” This is an emergency monitoring system that, in case of a fire, automatically (without human intervention) transmits a signal via the radio channel directly to the fire department.
Eliminating the “human factor” when calling firefighters reduces reaction time and aids in saving lives - the fire brigade reaches the scene within 15 minutes!
Over the course of 10 years of implementing the “Streletz-Monitoring” system nationwide, more than 190,000 people have been timely evacuated and saved from fires.
The system is based on a mesh network with a dedicated radio frequency. It can also be used to alert the population about fires, threats of natural disasters, and other emergencies.

An extremely complicated technical task was accomplished
A new cost-effective system was developed that can be used to automatically report a fire via a radio signal in cities with a high building density. The prototype of the emergency monitoring system underwent complex government testing. During the experimentation, a set of essential technical requirements was established that must be applied to similar systems under a code name «Streletz-Monitoring».
2010-2012
Open supply contests
A number of open contests were held to decide which companies are going to supply the equipment to the departments of the federal firefighting service
2012
Federal law: Emergency monitoring system - in all the schools, hospitals, etc.
The government made corrections to the federal law №123 «Technical regulations or fire safety requirements», which include changes to the section №83, part 7 «Equipping the emergency monitoring system in all schools, hospitals, retirement homes and other public buildings». The president made a two-year postponement for the changes to take effect.
